[edit] Procedure
[edit] Finding selected event candidates
Look for an article on the English Wikipedia that is about a person employed by or involved with the Royal Navy that you think is very good and would be suitable for use as the selected biography. This article doesn't necessarily need to be a Wikipedia Featured Article or a Wikipedia Good Article, but these articles are generally preferred for use as the selected event (you can use those links to look them up).
[edit] Nominating articles
- Click on the "Edit"-button for the "Current nominations" section.
- At the top of this page (above the other candidates) create a third-level header with the articles title and a wikilink to it, like this: === [[ARTICLE NAME]] ===
- Below this new line, add your reasons for nominating the article and then sign your nomination with ~~~~.
[edit] Endorsing
If you would like to endorse an article listed below, please indicate by signing your name in its subsection. If none of the nominated articles are endorsed, the will be utilized in order of nomination. If no articles are nominated, the portal will still be updated; in this case, an article will be selected at random by one of the portal maintainers.
