Should 17th and 18th century sailing frigates have a separate category to the modern (anti-submarine) frigates of the second World War onwards? They aren't really the same type of ship (the older ships served as cruisers, the newer ones serve as escorts); the name was simply revived. We would need a good clear naming convention, which I can't immediately think of. JimmyTheOne 13:15, 20 November 2005 (UTC)
