Roxana Flowers

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Roxana Flowers (1847February 28, 1887), aka Roxalana Flowers, was the last woman hanged in the state of New York before the electric chair replaced the gallows in 1890. She and her daughter Isabella beat Roxana's 72-year-old husband Dustin Flowers to death, then chopped up and boiled his remains. Her alleged motive was that her husband worked her too hard.
