From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rowrah Stadium is a karting track situated in the Lake District in Cumbria, England. The track measures 1,040 metres long and it is used for several major UK karting championships including the Super 1 series (Nicknamed S1), BRDC Stars of Tomorrow (nicknamed "Stars") and the Motors TV UK Karting Challenge as well as being host to several ABkC "0" plate championship meetings. In addition, the track plays host to championships organised by the Northern Karting Federation, who have the contract to organise national 125 gearbox events.

All race meetings held at Rowrah are organised by the Cumbria Kart Racing Club (CKRC) who also organise their own club championship held in between March and December every year at Rowrah. In addition to the Club Championship, they also organise a club "0" Plate meeting which is held in February of every year. The club won the prestigious Lockton MSA Club of the Year award in 2006, the first kart club ever to win the award, and an added boost in the sport's 50th anniversary. Image:Rkc.jpg
