The town Rawanduz (رواندوز) is located in the sub-district of Soran, in the Kurdistan Regional Government Iraq close to the Iranian border.

The population of the city is Kurdish. .

As of July 2007, Rawanduz is undergoing major re-construction. The bazaar will be relocated to make room for a new road.

Pank Resort is newly opened and offers families a place to go to relax and have fun. A Ferris wheel and other rides, including a toboggan ride down a deep gully on rail, offers a thrilling time.

Rawanduz was in the past a center of Kurdish resistance against Iraqi Government!
