Every aspect of out life can become a routine one way or another. The things we do become routine when we repeat the same process over and over and it means nothing more to us than it did the last time we did it. These procedures in which we live our lifes are what makes life so boring and uninteresting. Me, in being a Christian, can tell you all about routine. Every sunday I get up at 9:00a.m. and get ready for church. I leave my house, practice with my band before the worship service, and then catch the tail end of Sunday School. Now after I do all that, it is nothing more to me than the way I brush my teeth. After all the preperations have been made for the Worship service and its go time, and I will honestly tell you that when I get up on that stage I'm not just there to perform. It is my spiritual act of worship to play my guitar and sing to my Father and Lord. But not everytime I get up there I do it whole heartedly. Why do you think that is? Because it all becomes apart of my routine, as does reading my word daily, and praying just before I go to sleep. Now I'm mot saying doing all these things daily is wrong. But I will say that it is when it becomes nothing more than a routine. God likes it when we read our bible and pray and all that good stuff that us christians are supposed to do. But ask yourself, am I doing it out of love for the Lord, or, am I doing it as apart of my routine. So what do you say. Let's get off the tracks that just keep going around and around, and head in a different direction. What if just for one day we broke out of our daily routine and made something more out of life. Have a little diversity. Brush your teeth before you fix your hair. Pick up the morning paper after you have that cup of coffee. But do what ever floats your boat. I know for myself that I am going to strive to make my "routine" acts of worship, more than just a routine.
