[edit] History
Route 157 (DeBlois Road) is a continuously straight road that runs from SW of Tignish to SW of Palmer Road. The eastern section (in St. Peter & St. Paul) is paved, and is considered part of the Tignish region. The western section (in Palmer Road) is paved, and is considered part of the St. Louis/Miminegash region. The middle section is left unpaved, and is home to only two residents. Route 157 is home to the Ecole Francaise Prince Ouest, or the "West Prince French School", which has been there since 1999, and a new school is being built across the street and should be ready for students in January 2007. The currently paved section was repaved in 2005. The school is often called "DeBlois school", incorrectly, because it is located in St. Peter & St. Paul. The school is, however, located on Deblois Road.
