Rouge is a British Asian pop/R&B girl pop group, with all members being of Indian or part Indian descent. Its founding members are Laura Ismail (Egypt), Legha Yusif (Iran) and Amrita Hunjan (India). They signed with EnvyRoma Records and later on with Mona Records.
Gelerah was part of the original Rouge line-up. However, after a bust-up with Amrita, Legha and their manager Raj Roma, she left the band, and was replaced by Laura.
Don't Be Shy was their first and only single to date. However, after touring with it for over three years, the record never had a mainstream release.
The debut self-titled Rouge album was also a huge let down. Despite the hype, the album did not even reach the mainstream stores.
In 2007, the band signed to Timbaland's label Mosley Music Group.[1] They are currently re-recording their debut album with production from Timbaland. The three group member are due to finish their studies at the end of 2008, and then plan to release their album.
