Thanks for uploading Image:Sophie Anderton 30 07 07.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

Thanks for uploading those great photographs! They're much needed on Wikipedia. I concur with KabulHospital -- you should upload the photographs to Wikimedia Commons. Just an addition -- in case you didn't already know this, you need not upload your images to both English Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons. Any image uploaded to Wikimedia Commons is available for use on English Wikipedia with the usual image syntax. utcursch | talk 13:10, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

Hi Jose, thank you very much indeed for these great pictures. Just a minor concern: since you're a professional photographer, I think it would be a good idea if you explicitly confirmed that User:Rosengurtt is indeed Jose Rosengurtt. That would preempt any future concerns whether these uploads were ok. You could confirm this by sending a simple e-mail from the address given on your website to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org, stating that User:Rosengurtt is indeed you. That e-mail would be archived, and we could then mention the archive number (the OTRS ticket number) on the images, and thus show that the images were uploaded by you.

Maybe that strikes you as overly bureaucratic. However, anyone could have registered here at Wikipedia under your name, and uploaded these crops. (Image:Miss World 07 ZiLin Zhang.jpg is cropped from photo 07_107_1587 on your site.)
