Ross O'Carroll is hurling player for Dublin and Kilmacud Crokes. Ross made his championship debut for Dublin against Wexford in the 2007 Leinster championship and scored a total of 1-01 in a game which Dublin lost by a point.[1] Ross helped guide Dublin to victory in the 2005 Leinster Minor Hurling Championship by scoring one point in the game.[2]. Ross attended Oatland College in Stillorgan. Ross is the older brother of Dublin minor dualstar Rory O'Carroll. He won the Leinster Under-21 Hurling Championship with Dublin agaainst Offaly in July 2007. It was Dublins first Under-21 trophy since 1972.
Ross wouldn't be what you would call 'a true Irishman', as he sometimes likes to label himself. He is known colloquially as Kike O Carroll, Kike refering to the pejorative term for a 'JEW'. Although not a practitioner of Judaism, his bloodline is swimming with Jewish ethnicity. Ever wondered what his full name is?? Ross Solomon Gedaliah O 'Carroll. True Irish? I vehemently dispute a claim of that nature in light of such compelling evidence.
I do not want to come across as anti-semitic, but one has to question the validity of being labelled 'a true Irishman' when ones blood is chockablock with an abundant amount of Judaism. Several members of Ross's distant family have made the 'aliyah', the pilgrimage back to the holy land, Israel. Ross has tried to appease this arguement by becoming a member of the GAA, listening to Irish folk songs and trying(I stress trying) to learn the Irish language. Such actions are in vain, we all know now he doesn't possess the blood of a true Irishman, maybe he would be better off in Israel or New York(Home to a significant Jewish community, also the financial capital of the world, the two points are mutually exclusive though).
