Ross recently set up his own record label, Longest Mile Records, who released The Futureheads debut single in February 2007, the 7' and download "This Is Just The Nighttime, Andy!" from North-Eastern band, The Catweasels. This was followed with a release from Canadian band The Paper Cranes which was a double A-side 'I'll Love You Until My Veins Explode / Milkrun'.

Ross was 21st on the NME cool list 2004.[1] He's a vegetarian and tee-total.

He's also appeared on the Yourcodenameis:Milo collaboration album, Print Is Dead Vol 1 on the song 'I Remember The Summer Isles'.
