Ross Cloutier (born January 21, 1956) is a professor in the Adventure Studies Department at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. Cloutier is also the principal of Bhudak Consultants Ltd. and a partner in Pinnacle Risk and Insurance Consultants Inc. Cloutier is renowned as an adventure tourism industry risk manager who works with governments, insurers and businesses involved in adventure tourism, outdoor recreation and outdoor education. Cloutier has conducted numerous accident investigations and written numerous consultancy reports. He is the author of the books Legal Liability and Risk Management in Adventure Tourism and The Business of Adventure: Developing an Adventure Tourism Business.
