Rosemount is a large housing estate situated on the westbank of the River Foyle in Derry, Northern Ireland. Rosemount is located below (to the North) of the estate of Creggan, Derry at the summit of Creggan hill. The actual catchment area of Rosemount is often contested amongst locals, especially at the point it meets with Creggan at Lower Westway. As a result, St Josephs Secondary School is considered to be in both or either estate depending on the viewpoint. The area of Rosemount is widely agreed cover in a narrow channel of the westbank, stretching from the lower edge of Creggan estate Northwards to the 'Glen' and University Of Ulster's Magee College, beset on either side by Brooke Park and a far stretching area of farm land owned by the Hatrick family.

The main landmark in Rosemount is the locally famous 'factory' building, an old red brick building (formerly a shirt/textile factor) which is a prominent feature on the westbank skyline. Rosemount is often referred to as "the village", a name which has been attached to the area for over a century and makes reference to the almost secluded suburban community which existed on the site prior to many of the modern housing redevelopments and the growth of Derry outwards.
