Rose of Kingston

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rose of Kingston (foaled 1978 in Australia) was a Thoroughbred mare who raced with a great deal of success in Australia, particularly as a three-year-old. She was the Australian Horse of the Year in 1981, and after retiring from racing became a broodmare.

Rose of Kingston was the dam of Melbourne Cup winner Kingston Rule by the great American Triple Crown winner, Secretariat.
