Rose Pauson House

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

All that remains of the Rose Pauson House is the ruins of the foundatin walls. The building was located on 32nd Street in Phoenix, Arizona and was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and completed in 1940. Two years later, the building burned down in a fire and the ruins became a landmark that was called "Shiprock" for its prominent shape and location. Plans to reuse the land created a public protest and the ruins were moved west to a nearby plot of land in 1979.
