The Rose Mary Schools were founded in the early 1980s by Mr. P Jayaraj, who is also the correspondent of the schools.

The motto of the school is "Bless Us To Be A Blessing".

The creed of the school is

"To live as gently as I can
To be no matter where, a man,
To take what comes of good or ill
And cling to faith and honour still
To do my best and let that stand
The record of my brain and hand
And then should failure come to me
Still work and hope for victory."

The school is located at Palaymkottai, 'the Oxford of South India'.
The school has four branches in Tirunelveli:

3. Rose Mary School, Ram Nagar (Near Thyagarajanagar), Tirunelveli
4. Rose Mary School, KTC Nagar, Tirunelveli

Shirts and Trousers for boys : White Shirts and Brown Trousers for boys, White Trousers on Mondays.
Salwar and Kameez for girs :White Salwar and Brown Kameez, White Salwar and White Kameez on Mondays.
Shoes and Socks : Black Socks and Shoes.
Uniform for teachers on important days : Green Saree with designs of leaves

In less than 25 years, the school has gained a tremendous recognition. The school has an excellent academic record and has achieved many State Level and District Level ranks.

The school's principal, Mrs. Joy Vasanthakumari, was awarded the Radhakrishnan Award in 2006.
