Hardy Middle School is a school located in Georgetown in Washington, D.C..

This school, which is administered by the District of Columbia Public Schools, has been featured in the Northwest Current and has received multiple accolades for its achievements in academics and in sports. It has integrated all of its departments to incorporate, for example, a Greek history lesson with an art lesson about making vases.

The school serves the neighborhoods of Georgetown and Glover Park.

Though the schools original building is located in Georgetown, Hardy is currently sharing a building with Hamilton educational facility.

The school was named after Rose Lee Hardy, one of the most influential educators in the nation during the twentieth century. She was born in Winchester, Virginia at the beginning of the century. The school was built in 1933. Jimmy Carter's daughter, Amy Carter, attended the school. The student body is composed of 8.6% Asian and Pacific Islanders, 49.1% African Americans, 14.7% Hispanic, and 27.6% Caucasian.
