Rose Belker was an elderly fictional character in the Australian soap opera Neighbours, portrayed by the late actress Esme Melville. She first appeared in 2002 and continued to do so on a recurring basis for four years. Her last appearance in May 2006 was when she was given a parking ticket by Ned Parker (Daniel O'Connor), which he later revoked.
Rose served as the show's comic relief. She was often used in humorous scenes involving her bad hearing. One such instance was in 2002 when, during a medical examination with Dr. Darcy Tyler (Mark Raffety), he asked Rose to take "nice big breaths". She thought he said "nice big breasts" and began flirting with him. Nurse Dee Bliss (Madeleine West), who was supervising Darcy at the time, was greatly amused by this.
