Rosas is a Spanish surname, derived from the Latin word rosa (rose.) The earliest records of the name trace its appearance back to Northern Spain, specifically Old Castile, in the mountains near Santander.[1]It is also possible that originally the Rosas family could have lived or come from an area where wild roses grew.
