Rosanna Scotto

Rosanna Scotto (born April 29, 1958 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American news anchor. Rosanna Scotto currently anchors WNYW's newscasts at 5 and 10 P.M. with Ernie Anastos.

Rosanna Scotto grew up in an Italian-American family in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn. Scotto attended Brooklyn's New Utrecht High School where she graduated in 1977, she attended Packer Collegiate Institute and then Catholic University of America, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in fine arts.

Rosanna Scotto began her career in television at WTBS, Ted Turner's UHF television station in Atlanta, where she was a reporter for two local programs and an associate producer of the station's evening newscast. Rosanna Scotto returned to her native New York City in 1982 as a reporter for WABC-TV's Good Morning New York, which eventually became Live with Regis and Kathie Lee. After a year with Good Morning New York and The Morning Show, Rosanna Scotto joined WABC-TV's Eyewitness News as a reporter, where she remained until she joined FOX. Rosanna Scotto started at WNYW-TV in 1986 as a weekend anchor and reporter and later in 1994, she started anchoring the weekday edition of Fox 5 News. Rosanna Scotto has presented with John Roland, Len Cannon, Lyn Brown and current co-anchor Ernie Anastos on the 5 P.M. and 10 P.M. weekday editions of Fox 5 News.

Rosanna Scotto (along with her mother Marion, sister Elaina, brothers John and Anthony Scotto) owns the restaurant Fresco By Scotto on East 52nd Street in midtown Manhattan.[citation needed]
On September 13, 1986, Rosanna Scotto married Louis J. Ruggiero, a law firm associate in New York. Rosanna Scotto and Ruggiero have two children, Jenna and LJ. Jenna currently hosts Teen Kids news. Rosanna Scotto and her family currently reside in Manhattan.
