Rosana Melo (born October 24, 1973 in Assis, São Paulo, Brazil) is a Brazilian popular singer who rose to prominence in 2005 participating in the TV show Gente que Brilha on SBT.

[edit] Domingão do Faustão
On May 27, 2007, Rosana appeared on Domingão do Faustão, a weekly variety show hosted by Fausto Silva on Rede Globo. She was one of 16 female singers who were chosen among 2000 candidates for the semifinals of a competition that would chose the new lead singer of the band of Domingão. Each week, 4 singers would appear on the show to sing an international song and a Brazilian one. The jury, formed by Márcio Trigo (artistic director of Domingão), Wagner Faria (music producer of the show), Roberta Miranda (Brazilian singer), João Carlos Martins (piano player) and Marco Mazzola (producer), would choose one singer a week to be at the final competition on June 24.
Rosana sang Não Quero Dinheiro, recorded by Tim Maia, and Can't Take my Eyes Off of You, by Frankie Valli. She lost her place at the finals to Suellen Graciano.
