Rosa Franklin

Rosa Franklin is a Washington State Senator (Democrat) for the 29th District (Tacoma). She serves as the President Pro-Tempore for the Senate.[1]

Franklin had previously been a registered nurse before becoming an elected representative.[2]

Franklin is a graduate of Good Samaritan Waverly Hospital School of Nursing, Columbia, South Carolina; University of Puget Sound, Pacific Lutheran University and also holds a women’s Health Care Specialist Certificate from University of Washington Gynecorp Training Program.[2]

Franklin and her husband James have been married for fifty-seven years and have three children and five grandchildren.[2]
