Rosa Albach-Retty (December 26, 1874 – August 26, 1980) was an Austrian movie and stage actress. Her birth name was Rosa Clara Franziska Helene Albach-Retty. She made her first film appearance in 1930, in Money on the Street, and made her last appearance in 1956's Congress Dances. She is mainly remembered today as actress Romy Schneider's paternal grandmother. She died in 1980 at the age of 105. Albach-Retty was the mother of Wolf Albach-Retty, grandmother of Romy Schneider and great grandmother of Sarah Biasini. She was married to Karl Albach. Her son Wolf was an Austrian movie actor who married German movie actress Magda Schneider in 1936.
