[edit] Duplicate images uploaded

Thanks for uploading Image:Big Boi and Dre Present...OutKast.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:157337.jpg. The copy called Image:157337.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. [edit] Speedy deletion of "Thisisme then"

A page you created, Thisisme then, has been tagged for deletion in accordance with our deletion policy. In particular, it meets one or more criteria for speedy deletion; the relevant criterion is:

Author requests deletion, if requested in good faith, and provided the page's only substantial content was added by its author. If the author blanks the page, this can be taken as a deletion request.

As you created the page, and have removed all content from it, it is assumed that you wish for it to be deleted. If this is not the case, you should restore the previous content of the page

If you have any questions, please contact an administrator for assistance. Thank you – Gurch 23:10, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Curtis (50 Cent album)

Hi Ron, please don't add an album's sales trajectories. Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of info. Just like weekly chart positions are not allowed (see WP:CHARTS), the same applies to weekly album sales. I understand it might've taken you long to write it up, but there's a bunch of guidelines that have to be followed. If you have any questions, just leave a message. Thanks. [edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Commonthisismethen.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Commonthisismethen.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 20:19, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] December 2007

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to 2008 in music, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. This is especially important when dealing with biographies of living people, but applies to all Wikipedia articles. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are already familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add your original reference to the article. Thank you. Kurt Shaped Box (talk) 21:53, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Trajectories

As above, please do not add chart and sales trajectories to music articles... you can read WP:CHARTS and WP:NOT#IINFO for more on this. Thanks! - eo (talk) 11:11, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Jim jones harlem american gangster.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Jim jones harlem american gangster.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit] License tagging for Image:Thug lord the new testiment.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Thug lord the new testiment.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 21:09, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Adventures In Emceeing

A tag has been placed on Adventures In Emceeing requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Madlobster (talk) 23:16, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from pages that you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you.--Shootthedevgru (talk) 23:19, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Removal of speedy deletion tags

[edit] Discipline

Hi. Please do not add chart trajectories to song or album articles, as these have all been removed. This was decided per consensus at WP:CHARTS and per WP:NOT#IINFO. Thanks. - eo (talk) 23:08, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Again, do not re-add chart trajectories to album articles after they have been removed. Trajectories do not belong in articles per WP:CHARTS and WP:NOT#IINFO. Thanks. - eo (talk) 23:16, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Harlem's American Gangster, you will be blocked from editing. - eo (talk) 23:17, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Yes chart trajectories are an indiscriminate collection of info and shouldn't be added per WP:CHARTS. Spellcast (talk) 23:18, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

People do care about rules and style guidelines, that's why they were put into place based on WP:Consensus. I understand it took a little research to get the info, but please do not re-add it or place trajectories into other music articles. Thank you. - eo (talk) 23:19, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] NY's Finest and Harlem's American Gangster

I don't know why you re-added trajectories to these articles, but again, please stop.

This is the only warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
If you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did to NY's Finest, you will be blocked from editing. - eo (talk) 15:58, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Edit summary request

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field - please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you.
