Ronels lives in the suburban Kansas City Metropolitan area (US). He is a lawyer, but periodically shows a human-side. He writes and edits professionally and for pleasure. Although at one time he had a great interest in all things science, he soon learned that science had no interest in him (perhaps it was those dreadful 7:30 am classes in college). Be that as it may, those 7:30 am classes forced him to face-up to his real interests -- politics, the law and history (not necessarily in that order, but being as how all three are intimately related it matters not in which order they are placed).

Ronels formally registered as a Wikipedian in late-February 2006, but he had started editing under various IP addresses early in 2005. He has a special interest in legal issues ( family, international and constitutional law), history (especially Kansas history), as well as matters of local interest ("think globally act locally").
