Talk:Ronald Evans
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
As a Kansas University Sigma Nu fraternity brother, I benefitted from Ronald Evans ledership legacy (1961-1965).
- Then, as a comissioned US Navy reserve officer, I adapted and expanded his Pathfinder to the Stars leadership by example (1966-2006).

[edit] The Rise of Other Intelligence's
by Edwin Joyce in The Lost Haven
- We can begin to see a way out into an accessible universe unfolding with possibilities. They have told us clues, all objects have intelligence, in a way – they think. The ‘stuff’ that makes everything, is ordered by some divine natural intelligence outside of our control – this is not matter, as we know it. It is made to constantly inter-relate; rearranging waves that warp themselves in relation to each other, patterns of energy as thought. As in all things, to leave here you must create a new knowledge, a more highly organised state of this matter intelligence. The pathfinder to the stars starts within our reach.

- 7-19 Dec. 1972 Apollo 17 was the last of the six Apollo missions to the Moon, and the only one to include a scientist—astronaut/geologist Harrison Schmitt—as a member of the crew. Schmitt and Eugene Cernan, had extended EVAs on the Moon, 22 hours, 4 minutes for each. Ronald Evans piloted the CM.
- Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) ... In December of 1972, Apollo 17 astronauts Eugene Cernan and Harrison Schmitt spent about 75 hours on the Moon, while colleague Ronald Evans orbited overhead. The crew returned with 110 kilograms of rock and soil samples, more than from any of the other lunar landing sites.

[edit] Template needs updating?
The template box indicates that it "needs updating." Given that astronaut Evans passed away in 1990, I find that unlikely to be true, but before I deleted that note I want to be sure I'm not missing something. Is there anything in the template that might be outdated or inaccurate? Newyorkbrad 03:07, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
