Talk:Ron May (columnist)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ron May is a prominent technology journalist in chicago. He is pretty much the only game in town covering all the technology events that occur. He is known by everyone in the tech and tech-entrepreneurial sectors, and is noteworthy for his unique interview methods. BARCamp Chicago was last weekend and almost half of the discussion at any time was about Ron May and people's experiences talking to him. And, of course I can't prove this, but I don't profit from Ron May's success in any way.
Here's a podcast interview with Ron May to further illustrate that he's noteworthy. Tsaylor 03:05, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
I think this page is better now than it used to be, and is at the very least accurate now and no longer derogatory, if not a stub. Toothrot 15:21, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
Those of us in Chicago know of Ron May and believe he should have a page. I haven't run into anyone in the Chicago tech industry who does not know who he is. Emperorcezar 04:12, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
I've seen him at BarCamp Chicago soliciting contact info Francisco athens 04:42, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
The number one question I got out of the blue from people at BarCamp Chicago was.. "who was the guy with the recorder asking people questions?". I think its important to fairly describe who he is, what his motives are, and what works he has produced. RyanK 17:12, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] needed updates
It is not a monthly newsletter. The article fails to articulate why he is notable. (not saying he isn't btw)
Business POV is not an editorial level source.
