Talk:Ron Glass
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I was hoping to find a list of all of Ron Glass's television shows but there wasn't one anywhere to find. (Do I have to go to http://www.imdb.com to find one?)
Can't somebody add a list of all of Ron Glass's tv shows? --- Comment by 198.177.27.20
- In fact you can goto the IMDB - no point in trying to duplicate their work. If you look at the bottom of the page there is a link to his IMDB profile ( IMDB profile: Ron Glass ). --ShakataGaNai 04:19, 27 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] University of Evansville
This article mentions Ron Glass graduating from a seminary in 1964 but the University of Evansville article lists him as an alum (B.A. in Drama and Literature). A Google search backs the UE claim. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=ron+glass+university+of+evansville . Anyone know where the other info came from?--Twintone 20:15, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Prissy
"Firefly costume designer Shawna Trpcic had originally designed a loose, baggy casual outfit for Shepherd Book to wear on-ship. But when she saw what great shape Ron Glass was in she decided to put him in a tight t-shirt instead to show off his chest.[citation needed]" Citation needed? Where do you get a citation like that? I am watching the video and Ron has a perfect chest. He was born in 1945. Wow. (Yes I know this is not a discussion board, but wow). I watched the show as a teenager all the time. I admire his character much, though apparently I resemble Deitrich. Firefly was like the first season of Buffy. Good but going to get better. CharlesKiddell 03:14, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] good article
i'm glad to find something substantial on r.g. here, i love this guy & he deserves the treatment. one thing: why not mention 'all in the family' as being among his earliest tv appearances? (imdb lists it as the first, in fact). it's a completely jive caricature, but he's clearly lacing it w/sarcasm; i don't think it's anything to be ashamed of; 'all in the family' is universally regarded as being, if nothing else, a 'people's classic', and i doubt that r.g. would be so uptight as to disown that performance. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.160.162.242 (talk) 08:40, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] irony in noteable roles
Ron Glass was awesome as the enigmatic, stabilizing character of Shepherd Book in Firefly. Ironic, though, that in one of the funniest episodes of the 1980s "Twilight Zone" series, he deliciously played... wait for it... SATAN.
