Ronny Munroe

Ronny Munroe is the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Metal Church. He joined in 2004, replacing David Wayne (singer), who died due to complications following a car crash in 2005. Grew up in Fife, Washington. Born in 1965. Has a son and a daughter.

Ronny started his music career as a drummer for the band Madhouse. Munroe's first position as a volcalist was with the band Moxi. He was the lead vocalist for the Seattle band Far Cry in the early 1990's Far Cry's Cd was released in 2007 by Retrospect Records. Ronny Munroe was with the Seattle band Rottweiller when he was asked to audition for Kurdt Vanderhoof for a project Kurdt was working on. It was during that audition that Kurdt decided to resurrect Metal Church with Ronny as their frontman. Ronny Munroe was always a fan of Metal Church and has told the story of being a teenager driving around Fife, Washington playing Metal Church's "Gods of Wrath" in his car.

Ronny Munroe studied voice under Maestro David Kyle who also taught Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart, Geoff Tate of Queensryche, Layne Staley Alice-n-Chains to name a few. Munroe is best known for his broad vocal range and power and his ability to capture his audiences attention. Ronny Munroe currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area town of Castro Valley. When he is not on tour with Metal Church he gives vocal lessons to children and is a active member of the charity CliveAid that raises awareness for teenage cancers and MS, the charity was started to help Clive Burr, drummer of Iron Maiden who suffers from MS.
