Ronny Andrè Hafsås was borned in 1985 in Stårheim, a small village outside Nordfjordeid, Eid commune, Norway.
He is one of Norway's best cross-country skiers, and has won junior-championship in Norway 2002, 2003, and placed second in senior NM 2008. In biathlon, he has won junior-olympics 2003, junior world championship 2004, and two Norwegian Championships, in 2005 and 2006. In 2006-2007, he got special training in shooting from Raphaël Poirée, and debuted in the World Cup biathlon in 2008.
