[edit] Public relations work
Mr. Torossian began his career in public relations as a Vice President/Group Director for one of The InterPublic Group's (IPG) largest PR agencies. There, he was responsible for client growth and client programs. Among the campaigns he worked on were for the cosmetics and perfume company, Clinique, Fox News Channel, the shipping firm, DHL, and the Hard Rock Cafe.
[edit] Career
Since founding his firm, he has been referred to by The NY Post as a "publicity guru", by Fox News as a "high-powered PR CEO", and by CNN as "a leading PR expert". Torossian has also been named to PR Week 40 under 40 [3] and Advertising Age 40 under 40 [4] CBS National News said "Ronn Torossian knows spin," and a 2005 NY Times feature story on Torossian referred to him as "The consummate hard-driving, scrappy NY publicist."
Torossian is quoted regularly in the media on public relations trends and methods concerning news and current events[5][6] [7]
[edit] Controversy
At times discussing other public relations figures, Torossian’s aggressive style has been covered in news articles, celebrity and PR industry blogs and publications. In November 2007, Torossian was the subject of a BusinessWeek article that talked about a brash PR style. It talked of how Torossian challenges fellow PR firms and their executives by referring to them as "dinosaurs" and says that "my competitors are not so bright."
[edit] Clients
Torossian represented Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, and Knesset member Benjamin Elon and also The Israel Tourism Ministry and The Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Listed among his firm’s celebrity clients are Sean Combs [8], Pamela Anderson and Snoop Dogg. Some others his company represents include, Anheuser-Busch, Microsoft, XM Radio, Vail Resorts, Evian Water, Wolfgang’s Vault, Benny Hinn, Joe Francis, Nick Cannon, Phillips Van Heusen, and other diverse public and private interests.
[edit] Early Life
Through his personal advocacy for Zionist causes [9] like the youth movement founded by Ze'ev Jabotinsky, Betar, of which he became national president[10], and the advocacy work of Rabbi Avi Weiss[11], he became known and sought out among some of the hawkish Israeli public officials. He represented ‘Betar graduate’ Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert while Olmert was still mayor of Jerusalem, the Israeli Ministry of Tourism and Knesset member Benny Elon among others.
He is a 1992 graduate of Stuyvesant High School having attended NYC public schools until college. Torossian is known to also represent conservative Christian groups and organizations and religious leaders such as Pastor Benny Hinn, Regent University, Trinity Broadcasting Network [12]
