The Ronde van Nederland is a road bicycle racing stage-race in the Netherlands, founded in 1948. It's an annual race since 1975. Because of the start of the UCI ProTour in 2005 the tour was reinvigorated and renamed Eneco Tour of Benelux.
The first edition started on May 6, when the cyclists started in the heart of Amsterdam on the Dam. They finished nine days later, on May 15 in the Olympisch Stadion, which hosted the 1928 Summer Olympics.
