Wallace Ronald Roy (born April 29, 1940) is an American children's author who wrote the A to Z Mysteries series (with 27 books) and the new Capital Mysteries series.
Roy was born in Hartford, Connecticut.He now lives in Connecticut with his dog, Pal, whom had been put in the A to Z mysteries since Book I, 'The Invisible Island'. He spends time traveling, gardening, and restoring his farmhouse.
He used to be a fourth grade teacher, but he started writing books and became a full-time writer. He has not written any books for adults yet. He wrote 27 books and in 1978 he sold his first book. When he was young he was a very shy kid and spent most of his time stuyding and reading.In 1997 he started to write the A to Z mysterioues
