Ron Diaz

Ron Diaz (born c. 1955) is a talk show host on sports radio station WDAE-AM in Tampa, Florida. In the late 1980s and 1990s he partnered with Ron Bennington in the highly successful Florida talk radio program, The Ron and Ron Show. In May 1993, his wife Debbie was diagnosed with AIDS, leading him to take time off from the show. On December 20, 1994, Ron Bennington publicly broke the news of Debbie's diagnosis and devoted their entire show that day to the topic of AIDS. On November 13, 1995, Debbie Diaz died. Ron Diaz announced his departure on-air in 1997 and went his own way. Diaz was the morning rock DJ on WTBT-FM before assuming his current position on WDAE. Ron Diaz is now partnered with Ian Beckles.
