Ron Amstutz is a Republican Party member of the Ohio Senate, representing the 22nd District since 2000. He earlier served in the Ohio House of Representatives from 1980 through 2000. He is currently the longest serving member of the Ohio General Assembly.
Amstutz was re-elected, without opposition to a district which includes all of Medina, Wayne and Holmes counties, plus about 3/5th of Ashland County, including the City of Ashland.
Senator Amstutz serves as Chair of the Senate Ways and Means and Economic Development Committee and is also a member of these other committees: Finance and Financial Institutions; Judiciary on Civil and Commercial Law; Joint Legislative Ethics Committee; Governor's Advisory Committee on Faith Based and Community Initiatives; Joint Committee on Medicaid Oversight; and Legislative Information Systems Subcommittee.
