To demonstrate the aftermath of the collapse of the corner of Ronan Point following a gas explosion, for the purpose of illustration and analysis.

Could be replaced with other similar images of the Ronan Point collapse, all of which are equally affected by copyright. No free images are known to exist and none could be created now as the building has been demolished.

Other information Image shows a major event of 1968 which had enormous repercussions for the development of council housing in the United Kingdom. Following this event, changes were made to the Building Regulations to prevent future repeat, and the attitudes of the public were significantly affected towards high-rise buildings.
