Talk:Romeo, Michigan

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Michigan Romeo, Michigan is part of WikiProject Michigan, a WikiProject related to the U.S. state of Michigan.

What kind of entertainment is there in Romeo, Michigan?

Thanks Hannah Smith

Not a whole lot, there is a movie theater and decent number of stores. There is a small park on 29 mile and the high school has a small skate park. I am sure there are other things that I am missing.

There is also a bar on main street.

[edit] Controversy

This may be a controversial subject but just ask any business owner in Romeo, Michigan what they think of Mary McLaughlin. I overheard the local fire cheif saying that Imlay city is giving business breaks while Romeo is getting more strict. How can they grow the city without business?

Feel free to add your input

[edit] Schools

"Some of the schools are located outside the Village limits."

How many of the schools are located in Romeo vs Outside Romeo?

From my count there are 5 schools in Romeo and 6 schools outside romeo, Source is http://www.romeo.k12.mi.us/ then looking at the addresses of the schools.

Changing to

"Most of the schools are located outside the Village limits." and cited

[edit] NPOV dispute [Government]

The first paragraph I believe is ok since it looks to be based on known facts. The problem I am having is with the 2nd paragraph about Mary Mclaughlin. It looks like a political ad campaign. I also do not see any sources to back up the information stated. User:Bear21

"Why did the controversy section of Romeo, Michigan get removed? With it removed the article sounds like a political ad campaign. With the controversy section it balances out the good truth and the bad truth to make a neutral statement. I didn't know wikipedia choose political sides. What can I do to that section to make it approved?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.192.147.86 (talk • contribs) . 03:06, September 29, 2006

Well, I only noticed this edit of yours, which seemed critical without citing any sources. Looking over the article, I agree that the preceding paragraph laudatory, also without providing any sources. Someone has since added some tags questioning noting the POV and lack of sources. olderwiser 12:10, 29 September 2006 (UTC)"

Took out all references to the McLauglin administration. The upgrades to the Village are no longer attributed to anyone in particular
