[edit] Hoax?

This may be a hoax, but if so it's a notable one, appearing in places such as [1] and the Catholic Encyclopedia: [2] --NE2 22:06, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

In researching this further, I have found more evidence of the fact, and nothing indicating this to be a hoax, so unless someone brings forth evidence that it is a hoax, I believe it to be reliable, and I am more convinced of it than I was when I placed the article.
