[edit] Cleanup

The original text of this article appears to have been lifted directly from someone's research paper, or a literary article. The current article does not fit Wikipedia, as this is a research article and not encyclopaedic (or encyclopedic) in intent or tone. While basic Google searches don't find the text, I fear copyright violations. I'm not an expert on Joseph Conrad, so this definitely needs an expert's touch. I suggest culling the original text and replacing it with a brief overview of the collaboration, and a synopsis of the novel itself.

Also, this text was apparently lifted from Joseph Conrad Romance which I've made into a redirect to this page. --Lendorien 23:30, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

Comment from the author of the research article. The text of my article was transferred to this page by admin. It is a research paper, - mine! - Geoffreyclarke 8 April 2006
Hello! The new edits done by another user seem to be quite a bit better suited as an encyclopeadic article than the original content, which as an essay was not quite suited as an encyclopaedic article. You seem to be an expert. Your help in tightening it up would be appreciated!.
On another note, be sure to sign your notes on the talk page so folks know who they're talking to! Also, see the note I placed on your user talk page (User talk:Geoffreyclarke). There seems to have been some confusion with it. --Lendorien 17:58, 9 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Confusing article here

According to the title of this article one would expect some sort of a review or synopsis about the novel. Instead we have a report on the partnership between the two authors. I don't know what to do with this article. Rename? Merge to respective authors articles? --Brad101 02:47, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Genre

Is this actually a romance novel? I've done a lot of research on the history of the modern romance novel, and this is never mentioned. I've never read the book, but the reviews I've seen online point to it being more of an adventure novel. Can anyone clear this up? Karanacs (talk) 16:04, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
