"The average class consisted of about thirty pupils, mostly boys. Most girls stayed at home with their mothers...".Does that mean that it was allowed for girls to attend school in ancient Rome and some actually did? I always had the impression that it was forbidden by law...can someone please clarify? Padem 12:14, 27 December 2005 (UTC)

Your impression is correct. The article isn't. Much of this article is currently deficient. The first thing we need to decide is where to move it, since the current title is very poor. Something like Education in ancient Rome is needed. -Silence 16:23, 27 December 2005 (UTC)

I see no evidence that the content of this revision has been transferred in another article, hence I have reverted. If you think this page should be moved, please discuss it here first. Thanks, Cenarium (talk) 23:01, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

Remark that the discussion just before is from December 2005 and may not be relevant now. Cenarium (talk) 23:06, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
