Talk:Roman of Bulgaria
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It is questionable that Roman was crowned as a Tsar. My sources do not validate this. Given that he was castrated , it’s highly unlikely as he was not able to continue his dynasty. Also Skopje was not capital of the empire. Furthermore the end of Roman mentioned in the previously version (capture and imprisoning) is vastly different than what Skylitzes is writing. Somehow I think Skylitzes is more credible than any other source in this matter.Either way, if the previous author can cite some credible sources we could have a chapter that mention the two alternative endings.--Cigor 16:29, 16 August 2005 (UTC)
