Talk:Roman Schatz
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Roman Schatz's book's name is a result of him misunderstanding the language. The partitive case of the object of rakastaa (to love) is not because of a difference between whole and part, it's because of a difference between ongoing and completed. Finnish says rakasta minua instead of rakasta minut because loving someone is an ongoing, steady state, instead of a process that has a specified starting point and ending point, after which someone has been fully loved and there's no need to love them any more.
