This article should be renamed to accurately reflect the diocese's name, with the prefixed addition of "Roman Catholic" to conform to Wikipedia usage. The proper name of this canonical jurisdiction is Diocese of Joliet in Illinois - not Diocese of Joliet. It is the ordinary practice of the Catholic Church not to style a newly-erected diocese by a geographic name already assigned to an extant jurisdiction - in this case, the rule is invoked in favor of the Diocese of Joliette in Canada.
