[edit] Contradictions
The official diocesan page and the catholic-hierarchy.org page differ on exactly when a second diocese for the state of Montana was created and whether the diocese of Great Falls was split from the diocese of Helena or whether both were parts of the Vicariate of Montana. The latter website has essentially the same information as the New Catholic Encyclopedia and probably derived its information from that source.
I don't know which should take precedence here.
