Talk:Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Wrocław
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Article name
Why was the article moved from Archdiocese of Wrocław to the current title of Prince-bishopric and archdiocese of Breslau? The archdiocese is an active administrative unit of the Roman Catholic Church. The Catholic Encyclopedia article does not cover later 20th century information, but the article can be expanded to cover such topics. See Archbishopric of Warmia for comparison. - I am also puzzled. It makes sense that this article should have up-to-date coverage, and should use the current name of the localization.--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus Talk 20:52, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
The name Breslau is incorrect when used in early history. In early history the city had another name and this should be the name used for accuracy. --Molobo 21:26, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
- I agree with using the modern name, although the article currently is mostly about times when the city was usually called "Breslau". Any further moves should go through WP:RM and be properly discussed. Kusma (討論) 21:52, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
Kusma do you know from what time "Breslau" dates ? Wrocław wasn't Breslau for a long time(or Wrocław for that matter). --Molobo 11:33, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
