Romsdal peninsula

Romsdal Peninsula (Norwegian Romsdalshalvøya) is a 1560 km² peninsula located in the landscape Romsdal in Møre og Romsdal county in Norway. It is connected to the mainland by a 5 km wide landbridge between Eidsvåg and Eidsøra, and is flanked by a number of fjords: Langfjord and Romsdalsfjord to the south, Julsund (to the west), Hustadvika to the north, Kornstadfjord and Kvernesfjord to the north-east, and Tingvollfjord and Sunndalsfjord to the east. The peninsula encompasses the municipalities of Molde, Gjemnes, Fræna, and Eide, and most of Nesset.

About 45,000 people live on the peninsula, with another 10,000 on the adjacent islands.
