Romeo Gontineac

Romeo Gontineac (born Hlipiceni, Botoşani, 18 December 1973) is a Romanian rugby union player. He plays as a center.
He played in Romania, South Africa and currently in France, were he represented Section Paloise and now represents Stade Aurillacois Cantal Auvergne.
He played all the matches for Romania in four Rugby World Cup finals, in 1995, 1999, 2003 and 2007, in an aggregate of 14 caps. He was also the capitan at the last two presences.
Gontineac counted 75 caps, with 16 tries and 1 penalty scored, 83 points in aggregate, by the end of the tournament.
