Roman of Le Puy

Roman of Le Puy (French: Romain du Puy) was a French nobleman from Le Puy-en-Velay who accompanied Adhemar de Monteil on the First Crusade in the army of Raymond IV of Toulouse.
He first appeared in the Holy Land in documents from 1100. He was created the first Lord of Transjordan in 1118 by King Baldwin II. He rebelled during the revolt of Hugh II of Le Puiset in 1134 and King Fulk confiscated his fief to give it to Pagan the Butler. He was exiled.
