Roman Catholic Diocese of Victoria

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Victoria (erected 24 July 1846, as the Diocese of Vancouver Island) is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Vancouver. It was elevated to an archdiocese on 19 June 1903 and re-erected in 1904 as the Archdiocese of Victoria. The see was lowered to a diocese on 1 October 1908. Its cathedral is St. Andrew's Cathedral.
