The Archdiocese of Kampala is the Metropolitan See for the Ecclesiastical province of Kampala in Uganda.

- 1880: Established as Apostolic Vicariate of Nyanza from Apostolic Vicariate of Central Africa in Sudan
- 1883: Renamed as Apostolic Vicariate of Victoria–Nyanza

- 1915.01.15: Renamed as Apostolic Vicariate of Uganda
- 1953.03.25: Promoted as Metropolitan Archdiocese of Rubaga

The seat of the archbishop is St. Mary’s Cathedral (Rubaga Cathedral) in Kampala. There is also a Minor Basilica at the Basilica of the Uganda Martyrs in Namugongo.
